Date: 23-25 June 2026
Location: European Space Agency’s European Space Astronomy Centre (ESA ESAC), Madrid, Spain
The 11th edition of the PV Conference will address the domains of data preservation, stewardship and adding value to scientific data and research-related information.
The event will bring together the space science community to present and discuss their experiences, feedback and prospects for efficient scientific and technical data management systems. Discussions will take into account the need for data management systems to comply with ‘FAIR’ principles to ensure findability, accessibility, interoperability and reuse of digital assets. There will also be a focus on the challenges presented by the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) and the development of science data platforms.
Starion’s experts will present the following:
- Tuesday 23 June at 16:50 – Sergio Folco, Consultant: ‘EO Space Associated Information Preservation System’
- Wednesday 24 June at 12:20 – Tommaso Martire, AI Engineer: ‘Bridging MERIS and Sentinel-3 OLCI: deep learning Super-Resolution of legacy MERIS imagery’
In addition, these posters from Starion will be shown:
- ‘ESA EO Space Data Preservation Archive’ by Daniele Iozzino, Payload Engineer
- ‘AI‑Based SAR Image Formation for the Reuse of Archived SAR Level‑0 Data’ by Vito Moliterni, AI Engineer
