Accurate positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) information is crucial for many critical infrastructures like finance, defence, transport, telecommunications and emergency services.

This has led many governments to formally recognise the loss of PNT services as a serious risk. As a result, both governments and organisations need to consider which PNT services they use in order to ensure continuity of their systems and services.

Our PNT mission: DOVER

DOVER was our first satellite, developed to be a pathfinder for resilient GNSS-based PNT solutions.

The intent was to transmit an innovative new signal, specially designed by our engineers, to provide data from space that could be used to obtain a position or an accurate time as part of a research project into resilience for GNSS-based PNT services.

Unfortunately, however, due to reasons out of our control (a failure in the launch operations), the satellite was lost soon after it entered space.
