We are looking for a Scheduler to work at ESA’s premises in Harwell, United Kingdom, where you will provide schedule and risk management support across a portfolio of Commercialisation and Industry Partnership (CIP) programmes and projects. The role will involve project planning, schedule analysis, performance monitoring, risk management and reporting activities, helping to ensure the successful delivery of ESA initiatives.
About the client and location
The European Space Agency’s (ESA) Commercialisation and Industry Partnership (CIP) Directorate plays a key role in supporting the growth of Europe’s space sector through innovation, technology development and collaboration with industry partners. As part of a growing portfolio of programmes and projects, we are looking for a Scheduler to support project planning, schedule analysis, risk management and performance reporting activities across the Directorate.
Tasks and activities
The scope of work will include:
- Supporting schedule and risk management activities across ESA projects and programmes.
- Developing, maintaining and analysing project schedules, milestones and performance metrics.
- Monitoring project progress and identify schedule risks, issues and mitigation actions.
- Preparing reports, dashboards and schedule performance analyses.
- Supporting project reviews, planning activities and stakeholder coordination.
- Maintaining scheduling tools, processes and documentation.
- Contributing to process improvements, training and best-practice implementation.
- Supporting project teams in delivering projects on schedule and in line with programme objectives.
Skills and experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in project scheduling, planning, project control or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of project planning and scheduling tools.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
- Solution-oriented mindset, with strong customer-focused communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
