Starion is delighted to once again be sponsoring the Sunshine in Nosy Komba Festival, which will take place at the European Space Agency’s European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESA ESTEC) in The Netherlands on 20 and 21 June.
Starion is delighted yet again to partner with the charity Sunshine in Nosy Komba by sponsoring the Sunshine in Nosy Komba Festival at ESA’s ESTEC in Noordwijk. The charity provides and promotes education, healthcare and sustainable development to the 5,000-strong population of Nosy Komba, a small volcanic island situated off the northwestern coast of Madagascar in East Africa.
This year, Sunshine in Nosy Komba volunteers are joining forces with the ESTEC Music Club for a festival full of great music and activities that will help to raise funds for the Nosy Komba school for the whole of next year. The school campus, which includes the only secondary school on the island, supports over 500 children, including around 100 boarders.
On the evening of Friday 20 June, the event is open to those working at ESTEC to join in a range of fun sporting and music activities. Then on Saturday, from 10:30 to 20:30 CET, colleagues, family and friends are invited to the festival, where they can join in yoga, Zumba and salsa sessions, pétanque, arts and crafts, and more alongside an all-day world food area.
Gianluca Cerrone, Managing Director of Starion Nederland, said: “We are always proud to support the Sunshine in Nosy Komba charity through our sponsorship of this event. Access to education and healthcare is essential for every community, and this charity’s impactful work in both areas in communities who are less fortunate closely aligns with our company’s mission to empower individuals to reach their full potential.”
