At ESAC, you work on real space missions alongside ESA engineers and scientists. No two weeks are the same, so you keep learning. With Starion, you have colleagues across different ESAC teams, which makes it easy to share knowledge and move between projects.
You don’t need to be a scientist or a space expert to work here. I studied Telecommunications Engineering and had no background in the space sector. Starion looked beyond that: they saw that my technical skills were a solid foundation and, above all, they valued my motivation and eagerness to learn.
Mikel, Software Engineer
ESAC is a great place to work because you can learn, work on exciting projects and enjoy being part of a great community. ESAC has a great atmosphere, excellent facilities and, most importantly, really nice and supportive people to work with
ESA brings together people with diverse academic backgrounds. In my role, my studies – a degree in Physics and a PhD in Astrophysics – combined with my professional experience have provided a strong foundation for supporting the scientific and operational aspects of the Juice [Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer] mission.
Pilar, Juice Science Operations Engineer
ESAC is a very international and multidisciplinary place to work.
Working for HE Space at ESAC gives you the opportunity to become closely integrated into ESA mission teams and to take on real responsibilities within major space missions.
I studied Astronomy/Astrophysics, including a PhD, and my route into ESA was through the scientific side of space missions. You don’t need to come from a traditional space engineering background: missions need people with a wide range of scientific, technical and software skills.
Cian, Science Operations Engineer
