Starion’s office in the Netherlands is in Leiden. In addition to being the centre of Starion’s concurrent design and engineering activities, others in the team work on a range of space engineering and cybersecurity activities.
The majority of Starion’s Dutch team work at ESTEC, which is located in Noordwijk on the North Sea coast, just 12km from the Leiden office. Established more than half a century ago, ESTEC is ESA’s largest establishment.
At ESTEC, the focus is on developing technology, planning missions and testing satellites. It is the hub of Europe’s space effort, and is where the majority of European space projects are born, developed and tested in advance of their flights into orbit.
