Tasks and activities
The scope of work will include:
- Reporting to the Program Manager for the Netherlands account.
- Interface with customers and other team members, in which you can understand customer requirements and generate solutions both process solutions and software solutions.
- Implementation and maintenance of complex, data driven applications.
- Implementation and maintenance of complex, design critical applications for early phases of engineering.
- Verification and Validation of SW applications.
- Optimization of high throughput collaborative systems.
- Design and implementation of supporting tools and libraries.
Skills and experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- University bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Software Engineering or a relevant field.
- At least 3 years proven experience in C#.
- You are familiar with .NET Core.
- You have experience with the MVVM design pattern.
- You have a solid understanding of Relational Databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
- You are experienced with Test Driven Design.
- You have experience in working on large multi-faceted projects.
- You are familiar and comfortable around Git, GitHub and Gitlab
- You have experience in continuous integration tools.
- You are a proactive, independent problem solver yet also a great team player.
- Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
- Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
- Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- You have experience with data modelling using languages such as Ecore or UML.
- You are acquainted with Blazor web application development.
- You have experience with implementing UI components using WPF.
- You are familiar with working in a Linux Environment.
- You are familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- You are familiar with developing mobile and/or web applications using TypeScript or JavaScript.
Preference has to be given to Dutch national applicants due to the nature of the work for the Dutch Ministry of Defence.
