Join us as a SOC Analyst T1/T2 and work with our client, a major Italian institution in the space sector, for whom we are building a brand‑new Security Operations Centre (SOC).
SOC activities will extend beyond traditional IT infrastructure monitoring, offering exposure to a wide range of advanced security operations. The position is based in the beautiful city of Matera, Italy.

Tasks and activities
The scope of work will include:
- Incident investigation, including in-depth triage and analysis of logs, network traffic, and endpoint data.
- Threat detection through the use of advanced security tools and techniques to identify and respond to sophisticated cyber threats.
- Incident response, acting as the first line of analysis for routine incidents and alerts, and supporting Tier 2 teams in resolving more complex cases.
- Working with SOC tools such as SIEM, SOAR, and ITSM to deliver effective services to customers.
- Documentation and reporting, including the creation of detailed incident reports with root cause analysis and the delivery of comprehensive reports to stakeholders.
- Participating in on‑call rotations or 24/7 on‑site shift coverage, depending on SOC assignment.
Skills and experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- A degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threat landscapes, and mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in advanced security tools, SIEM solutions, and a wide range of cybersecurity technologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK for effective threat analysis.
- Experience in gathering and analysing threat intelligence to enhance proactive threat hunting.
- Strong experience in utilising and analysing Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools.
- Hands‑on experience supporting and executing incident response efforts.
- Well‑developed capability to work collaboratively with SOC team members and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Proactive in proposing improvements and driving initiatives to enhance service quality.
- Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
- Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
- Eligible to undergo an Italian national secret security clearance procedure.
- Fluent in spoken and written Italian, with a strong command of English considered an advantage.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), or equivalent.
