We are looking for a Siemens Teamcenter System Configuration Officer to support a service contract for one of our clients. The role will be based on-site at the client’s premises.
You will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, customisation, and support of the Siemens Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform.
The role partners with stakeholders to analyse business requirements, define solution architectures, configure workflows and lifecycle processes, and ensure the successful integration of Teamcenter with enterprise systems.
You will oversee testing, data migration, documentation, and training activities while promoting best practices in configuration management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement to maximize business value and operational efficiency.
About the client and location
The ESA Centre for Earth Observation (ESRIN) is the European Space Agency’s (ESA) base in Frascati, Italy. From this location ESA conducts most of their earth observation research, including data analysis and distribution for other non-ESA satellites.
This position is open to protected categories under Italian Law 68/99 (“Rules for the right to work of disabled people”).

Tasks and activities
The scope of work will include:
- Gathering and analysing business requirements and defining Teamcenter solution architectures.
- Designing data models, business processes, workflow configurations, and implementation approaches.
- Configuring and customising eamcenter objects, workflows, metadata, user permissions, and lifecycle controls.
- Implementing configuration management, change control, and governance processes.
- Developing and maintaining Teamcenter customisations and workflow solutions.
- Designing and supporting integrations between Teamcenter and connected enterprise systems.
- Developing migration strategies and executing data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Conducting system configuration testing, integration testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Supporting deployment readiness activities and production releases.
- Generating technical documentation, configuration records, and testing reports.
- Delivering training sessions and supporting operational knowledge transfer.
- Recommending system improvements, process optimization initiatives, and future enhancements.
- Maintaining compliance with quality standards and organisational procedures.
Skills and experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience administering and configuring Siemens Teamcenter.
- Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) principles and processes.
- Experience with workflow design, metadata management, access control, and lifecycle configuration.
- Knowledge of enterprise application integration and data migration methodologies.
- Experience with testing, validation, and system deployment activities.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create technical documentation and conduct user training.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- Siemens Teamcenter certification.
- Experience with CAD integrations and engineering data management.
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, ITIL, or software delivery frameworks.
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, space, defense, or engineering sectors.
- Knowledge of scripting, customisation, and automation tools used within Teamcenter environments.
- Project management certification or experience leading implementation projects.
