The 10th European Mission Operations Ground Segment Software & Architecture Workshop (ESAW) has as its theme ‘Platforms for exploring Earth and beyond – Towards a smart and resilient ground segment’. The event is designed to offer a platform to swap ideas, check out the latest trends and help shape the future of mission operations software and architecture.

ESAW 2026 is backed by the European Space Agency’s (ESA’s) Operations Directorate and hosted by ESA’s European Space Operations Centre (ESOC).

Several of Starion’s experts will be taking part in panels and presenting papers.

  • 09:30 – Pablo Beltrami will be taking part in the panel discussing ‘How to meet the challenges of dual use ground segment’
  • 11:00 session on Automation & Orchestration for Constellation – Wolfgang Heinen, Consultant Engineer: ‘Lights-Out System for automation of operations & mission planning for a fleet’, featuring Starion’s modular Astral ground segment platform
  • Also in the 11:00 session on Automation & Orchestration for Constellation – Riaz Shafi, Systems Engineer: ‘Astral Dash: A system-of-systems approach to scalable fleet and constellation operations’
