We are looking for a MBSE System Engineer to implement a project based on a Satellite Ground Segment Model. The role is focused on the implementation and support of Digital Engineering projects, both internal and external, performed by Starion Group.
Tasks and activities
The scope of work will include:
- Definition and development of a Meta Model for Satellite Ground Segments
- Developing and extending system architectures and models using existing requirements, interface documentation and related design and systems engineering documents.
- Providing Sparx Enterprise Architect Modelling and MBSE Methodology support.
- Becoming proficient in the use of Starion Digital Engineering tools like CDP4-COMET.
- Requirements engineering and collection interfacing with relevant users.
- Supporting Starion in tailoring the MBSE approach to the aerospace sector.
- Model requirements verification and validation.
- Supporting the implementation of systems models into software systems
- Supporting Starion proposals preparation with the MBSE expertise.
Skills and experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
- At least 3 years of consolidated experience in MBSE activities.
- Experience in the definition of system architectures
- Excellent interpersonal, communications and networking skills.
- Intermediate to expert level experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect, or an equivalent.
- Familiarity with Software Engineering practices
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- Experience in the aerospace sector, preferably on satellite ground segments.
- Previous experience with System Engineering methodologies, standards, languages and tools (e.g. SysML, ECSS-E-TM-10-25A).
- INCOSE certification.
