Starion Group is expanding its team and is pleased to announce a new opportunity for a Business Development Manager based in Belgium.

The role will also cover cross‑national defence customers and programmes, including NATO and EU Agencies, as well as defence‑related funding initiatives.

Tasks and activities

The scope of work will include:

  • Client and Opportunity Development in Belgium.
  • Business Development within the NATO Market.
  • Engagement with EU Agencies & Defence Funding Programmes.
  • Management of the Sales Pipeline and Opportunity Capture.
  • Strategic Engagement across the Industry and Ecosystem.
  • Internal & Cross‑Functional Coordination.

Skills and experience

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Business Development within Defence, Space, Security, ICT, or institutional markets.
  • Solid understanding of NATO and/or Belgian Defence procurement structures.
  • Experience across the full opportunity capture lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Belgian nationality is required.
  • Full professional fluency in English, French, and Dutch.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:

  • Demonstrated experience with NATO procurement processes.
  • Proven track record in working with EU defence funding initiatives.
  • Knowledge of the space and/or cybersecurity markets.
