The EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference is a key annual event for the meteorological and scientific communities. Participants from around the world meet each year to share their experience and knowledge during plenary, poster and workshop sessions.

The main conference theme this year is ’40th Anniversary of EUMETSAT – Advancing Earth System Satellites for Europe and Beyond’. The European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) was established in 1986 to deliver operational satellite data for weather, climate and environmental monitoring.

Starion’s experts have provided support to EUMETSAT for many years and will be presenting the following papers at the event:

  • Thursday 24 September at 15:30 – Prem Maheshwarkar, Atmospheric Product Development Scientist: ‘New improvements in PMAp and extensive calibration of operational product and climate data record’
  • Friday 25 September at 12:30 – David Huerta Valcarce, Data Processing Software Engineer: ‘Cloud architecture for the new generation of advanced products – 3MI aerosol case’

Starion is part of CS Group, which is sponsoring the conference. You can meet our team on the CS Group stand or contact us in advance to arrange a meeting.
