Working for Starion in Germany

Starion’s office in Germany is in Darmstadt, a lovely town that is both very international with many facilities, yet small enough to feel homely. Darmstadt also houses ESA’s ESOC facility and EUMETSAT’s headquarters. The majority of Starion’s colleagues in Germany are based at one of these two client facilities, where Starion teams provide a range of services to support essential space missions.

EUMETSAT is the European satellite agency for monitoring weather, climate and the environment. It operates meteorological satellites that observe the atmosphere and ocean and land surfaces all day, every day.

ESOC is home to ESA’s mission control centre and Space Safety programme. Here you’ll find engineering teams who control spacecraft in orbit, manage ESA’s global tracking station network, and design and build the systems on the ground that support missions in space.
