We are looking for a MBSE Engineer to work at our premises in Leiden, Netherlands.
In this role, you’ll be driving the implementation and support of Digital Engineering across both internal and external projects within the Starion Group. Your first exciting assignment will be in the Maritime and Naval sector, contributing to impactful projects for the Dutch Ministry of Defense.
About the client and location
STARION Group B.V. has two offices in Noordwijk and Leiden, The Netherlands, located close to some of our key clients at ESA’s European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) and the Galileo Reference Centre. Our expert teams here work within the space, security and system engineering sectors, with The Netherlands also being hub of STARION’s concurrent design and engineering services.
Tasks and activities
The scope of work will include:
- Developing and extending system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents.
- Providing Capella Modelling and MBSE Methodology support.
- Acquiring proficiency in the use of Starion Digital Engineering tools like CDP4-COMET.
- Supporting Starion in tailoring the MBSE approach to the Maritime sector and Naval design.
- Coordinating with Project Management activities and when needed Perform the Project Manager tasks.
- Model Requirements Verification and Validation.
- Helping with Starion Proposals Preparation with the MBSE expertise.
Skills and experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
- University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of experience in MBSE activities.
- Previous demonstrated experience in the Maritime and Naval sector.
- Experience in Project Management or Project Management support.
- Intermediate to Expert level experience with Capella.
- Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
- Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- In this specific context, due to the very nature of the Security related activities, preference has to be given to Dutch-citizen applications, in order to have access to security classified information to perform the aforementioned activities.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
- Previous experience with System Engineering methodologies, standards, languages and tools (e.g. SysML v1 and v2, ECSS-E-TM-10-25A).
