Local Information Security Officer

We are looking for a Local Information Security Officer to work from our office in Darmstadt, Germany.

You will be responsible for the strategic development of an effective personnel and facilities security culture for our business in Germany. In this, you will be taking the lead on the day-to-day activities and delivery of personnel security policy, procedures, risk assessment, management and general security processes, including review and sign-off on security architectures.

Tasks and activities

The scope of work will include:

• Taking the lead and collaborating with the Corporate Security Office and appointed provider in obtaining the Facility Security Clearance for our Germany office.
• Acquire good knowledge and understanding of the Starion Corporate Security Manual and other relevant security manuals, procedures, and instructions.
• Develop, implement and maintain all the security documentation required for Starion Germany.
• Record and report any discrepancies to the Group Corporate Information Security Officer (GCISO).
• Implement and exercise the Starion Group Business Continuity Plan.
• Monitor and ensure uniformity of security of the office. This includes maintaining the accreditation files for the physical and CIS environment.
• Act as main point of contact in Starion Germany for:
  • Informing CSO of any potential security breach.
  • Ensuring the follow-up and reporting of the Starion Group security incidents.
  • Proposing options for mitigation and implementation. Ensure the implementation when required.
• Participate in the ISO27001 and NIS2 implementation activity, ISO9001 and Business Continuity (BC) management activities.
• Participate to the Security Office meetings and LSOs coordination meetings.
• Responsible for the local supplier relationship and maintenance of activities.

Skills and experience

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

• Some demonstrated experience in information security, personal security or facility clearance procedures and processes.
• Knowledge or experience in ISO27001 standards and process.
• Effective oral and written communication with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels, including Management, Board, and Senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in presenting both technical and non-technical security information, concepts, and intelligence to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated willingness to challenge existing assumptions and advocate for innovative approaches, moving beyond ‘business as usual’.
• Proactively foster collaboration among stakeholders to achieve common goals.
• Willingness to learn and develop in the role through evolution of the tasks and responsibilities.
• You must have German nationality, as you will need to be eligible for Personal Security Clearance in Germany to carry out the responsibilities of this role.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
