We are looking for a Cyber Internal Auditing Engineer to work at our client’s premises in Noordwijk, Netherlands.

Join us in the crucial role of managing and improving the Cyber Internal Auditing tools. Your focus will be on fortifying audit findings through meticulous analysis and interpretation of evidence. With CAATs, you’ll reduce audit risk, increase independence, and achieve faster, more consistent coverage. Your expertise will drive efficiency and effectiveness in auditing, enhancing internal controls. You will play a pivotal role in reducing risk to optimize audit efficiency.

Tasks and activities

The scope of work will include:

  • Upgrade and maintain the current CAATS (computer-assisted Audit techniques).
  • Develop a new set of tools to improve the current CAATS.
  • Support for the maintenance of the CIA Evidence Database, currently based on Microsoft Excel.
  • Integrate the inputs provided by the industry into the CAATS and develop the associated tools to perform this integration.
  • Develop and maintain a database with all the data inputs as the main repository of the Auditor knowledge base.
  • Develop the tools to validate and verify the data provided.
  • Develop the tools to maintain records of software Audit activities (evaluation logs, status reports) provided.
  • Support to the CIA team for the development of specific software and scripts during the execution of the Audits.
  • The Service provider shall maintain an CAATS Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Skills and experience

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • At least 4 years proven experience.
  • Experience on Generalised Audit software (GAS) or Business Intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge about add-ins, plugins and apps for Microsoft Office as Power User, Power Pivot, Power Query, ParallelDots, Office Tab, Tableau or other similar tools to increase the productivity of the Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge and experience on Navigation Systems or Space Systems.
  • Relevant technical experience (preferably in Audit and software engineering)
  • Knowledge about the ISACA Framework, ISO27K, NIST or COBIT standards
  • Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
  • Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
