We are looking for an AIV Engineer to work at our Client’s premises in Rome, Italy, to support the Integration and Validation activities of Ground Segments of multiple Earth Observation satellite missions.

This position is open to protected categories under Italian Law 68/99 (“Rules for the right to work of disabled people”).

Tasks and activities

The scope of work will include:

  • Ground Segment and subsystems verification plan definitions, maintenance, and control.
  • Carry out Assembly, Integration, and Verification of Ground Segment and subsystems at all levels.
  • Support systems design.
  • Interfacing with all subsystems and relevant teams during AIV phases.
  • Support to operational and pre-operational phases.
  • Authoring of Technical documents.

Skills and experience

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • University Degree or equivalent preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or Computer Science and Engineering.
  • At least ten years of working experience in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of System Engineering and system-level knowledge of all Ground Segment subsystems.
  • Proficient in working in a Linux environment and hardware-virtualized environment.
  • Experience in the ECSS AIV process.
  • High motivation, proactive working approach and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
  • Solution-oriented mindset, with a customer-focused communication skill.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
